  • 3/4 cup (180ml) milk
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (2g) ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup (150g) diced apples
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) caramel sauce

Special Notes: You can use store-bought caramel sauce or make your own homemade caramel sauce. Feel free to add chopped nuts or raisins to the filling if desired.

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch round baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your hands to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Pour in the milk and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined and a soft dough forms.
  5. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead it a few times until smooth.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, approximately 12×10 inches in size.
  7. Brush the melted butter over the entire surface of the dough.
  8. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the dough.
  9. Distribute the diced apples evenly over the dough, pressing them gently into the surface.
  10. Starting from one long edge, tightly roll up the dough into a log shape.
  11. Using a sharp knife, cut the log into 12 equal-sized rolls.
  12. Place the rolls into the greased baking dish, leaving a little space between each roll.
  13. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
  14. Remove the rolls from the oven and drizzle the caramel sauce over the top while they are still warm.
  15. Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm and enjoy!
