  • 1 small head broccoli, cut into florets (about 4 cups) (340g)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided (28g)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (15g)
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk (360ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (2.5g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (0.5g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (0.5g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder (0.5g)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (57g)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (25g)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (28g)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a large pot of boiling salted water, blanch the cauliflower and broccoli florets for 3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk continuously for 1 minute to create a roux.
