  • 20 jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup chopped spinach, cooked and drained
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, cooked spinach, egg, garlic powder, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Stuff each cooked pasta shell with a generous amount of the cheese and spinach mixture. Place the stuffed shells in the baking dish, arranging them in a single layer.
  6. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, covering them evenly.
  7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the stuffed shells cool for a few minutes.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired, and serve hot.
