  • 1 pound ground beef (450g)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (60g)
  • 1/4 cup milk (60ml)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (60ml)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion (30g)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper (30g)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (5ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2.5g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (2.5g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.25g)
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, onion, bell pepper, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions. Take one portion and shape it into a flat patty.
  4. Place a slice of cheddar cheese in the center of the patty and fold the edges over the cheese, sealing it inside. Repeat with the remaining portions of meat and cheese.
  5. Place the cheese-stuffed meatloaves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatloaves are cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
