  • 1 cup (240 ml) honey
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) ground black pepper
  • Optional: Whole cloves for garnish

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Remove the ham from its packaging and place it in a large roasting pan, fat side up.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine the honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, ground nutmeg, and ground black pepper. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it comes to a simmer. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  4. Pour half of the glaze over the ham, making sure to coat it evenly. Reserve the remaining glaze for later.
  5. If desired, score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern using a sharp knife. Insert whole cloves into the scored areas for added flavor and a decorative touch.
  6. Cover the ham with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 1 hour.
  7. After 1 hour, remove the foil and brush the ham with the reserved glaze. Return it to the oven, uncovered, and continue baking for an additional 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
  8. Once the ham is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute and ensures a moist and flavorful ham.
  9. Serve the Honey Glazed Ham warm, and drizzle any remaining glaze over the slices for an extra burst of sweetness.
