1. General

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Foodis, operated by Ra'anan Rogel – Doran Communications ("the Site," "we," "us"), collects, uses, retains, and protects personal information provided to or collected by us through foodis.co.il and its subdomains (including /en).

This Policy applies to all visitors and users of the Site and forms an integral part of the Site's Terms of Use. Browsing the Site and/or providing any personal information to it constitutes agreement to this Policy.

2. What information we collect

Information you provide knowingly:

  • Email address, when subscribing to our newsletter.

  • Name and email address, when using the contact form.

  • Name, email address, and comment content, when posting a comment.

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage and browsing data (pages viewed, time on site, referral source) via Google Analytics.

  • IP address, browser type, and device type.

  • Cookies and similar identifiers — see Section 5 below.

We do not knowingly collect information from minors under 18 without parental or guardian consent, and we do not intentionally direct our newsletter or contact-form services at minors.

3. How we use your information

  • To send the weekly newsletter to addresses that opted in voluntarily, based on explicit consent given at signup.

  • To respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form.

  • To publish and moderate visitor comments.

  • To improve the Site and its content, based on aggregated, largely anonymous usage data.

  • To display advertising, including personalized advertising, via Google AdSense.

  • For information security and abuse-prevention purposes.

We do not sell personal information to third parties, and we will not use your email address for any purpose you have not explicitly agreed to.

4. Third-party service providers

To operate the Site we rely on external service providers, each with its own privacy policy. The list below describes the types of services we use, not a closed list of specific vendors — we may switch providers or add services from time to time, and that won't be treated as a material change to this Policy:

  • Email marketing service (currently: Brevo) — manages the newsletter list and sends the digest.

  • Google Analytics — analyzes Site usage data.

  • Google AdSense — displays advertising, including cookie-based personalized ads.

  • Content delivery (CDN) and security infrastructure (currently: Cloudflare).

  • Site hosting and database services, including our content management platform (WordPress).

These providers may process data outside Israel. We choose providers committed to accepted information-security standards, but we don't have direct control over their internal privacy practices.

5. Cookies and personalized advertising

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Identify and remember browsing preferences.

  • Measure usage via Google Analytics.

  • Serve personalized advertising via Google AdSense — ad providers may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies may affect some Site functionality. You can also opt out of Google's personalized advertising via Google Ad Settings.

6. Newsletter and direct marketing

Newsletter signup is entirely voluntary and based on your explicit, informed consent given at signup, per the requirements of the Communications Law (Telecommunications and Broadcasting), 5742-1982 (Amendment 40).

Every newsletter message includes a clear, accessible unsubscribe link. You may also request removal at any time by contacting info@foodis.co.il. Removal will be processed within a reasonable time, no later than required by law.

Your email address will be used solely for the newsletter you subscribed to, and will not be shared with any third party for its own marketing purposes, except the email service provider actually sending it on our behalf.

7. Information security

We take reasonable, industry-standard security measures to protect the personal information provided to us against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security, and use of the Site is at the user's own risk.

8. Your rights

Under the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 (including Amendment 13), you have the following rights regarding your personal information held by us:

  • Right of access — to request what information about you we hold.

  • Right of rectification — to request correction of inaccurate or outdated information.

  • Right of erasure — to request deletion of your personal information, to the extent we have no legal obligation to continue holding it.

  • Right to object to marketing — to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, as described in Section 6.

9. Data retention period

We retain personal information only for as long as needed to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. An email address subscribed to the newsletter is retained until unsubscribed. Contact-form inquiries are retained for a reasonable period for response and record-keeping purposes.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time, particularly as the Site adds new services (such as commerce features, new partnerships, or new tools). The date of the last update appears at the top of this document. Continued use of the Site after an update is published constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
